Heating of water and similar liquids

TYP 4407

The heating element consists of six heating branches, which are mounted into a nickel-plated steel flange with eight fixing screws on a circumcircle D1. The flange with connectors is equipped with a cover with gland GP 36/28, thus providing protection IP 42. The outer surface of the cover is protected by fire lacquer.

The heating element is intended for direct heating of water and similar liquids. It can be used for heating of water in storage heaters, boilers etc., with an operation pressure up to 0.6 or 1.0 MPa (refer to table). The heating elements must be permanently immersed in the liquid up to the flange during operation. For heating elements type 4407 models 005, 006, 016, 025, 026, 036 and models 305, 306, 316, 325, 326, 336 a support is recommended, due to their length. For this purpose, an opening of 8.5 mm is provided at the centre of the rear sheet.

In case of excessive deposition of lime scale (incrustations) on the sheath during operation, it is highly recommended to provide water treatment – this will contribute to a longer lifetime of the element.
